Terminal Station 1905 - 1972

I've been interested in the Terminal Station since around 1996; I stopped by the Wrecking Bar, a great architectural salvage place in L5P to see if buy some of my reproductions. I found a reproduction of the head an arch grotesque and negotiated to pull my own mold from it. I went to the Atlanta History Center's Kenan Research Center to try to verify that this piece was indeed from the Terminal Station and found a newspaper article that showed the exact piece I had, and a full view of its partner.

The station was loaded with architectural details that have either been destroyed or moved to another city. Now I have the chance to recreate the entire building instead of a tiny detail.

Here's an aerial photograph of the station. It's from the Tracy O'Neal collection at the Georgia State University library.
